Building a Stronger, Safer Team Together

In our volleyball class 🏐, the MoveWell Team worked with younger athletes to explore how peer support and knowledge sharing can make sports both safer and more meaningful.

Our goal 🎯 wasn’t just to teach drills or warm-ups—it was to show that athletes grow stronger when they learn and care for one another.

Together, we practiced stretching and dynamic warm-up🏃 routines, explaining how certain movements could lead to strains or sprains. Instead of simply following instructions, students were encouraged to observe each other’s form, offer feedback, and help teammates correct mistakes. Through this process, everyone learned to take responsibility not only for themselves but also for their peers.

We also introduced 🧑‍🏫 basic first-aid and injury awareness, including how to identify overuse, apply the R.I.C.E. method (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation), and know when to see a doctor. More importantly, we emphasized that supporting an injured teammate—with understanding, encouragement, or help—is part of being a true athlete.

Peer support 🤝 and sharing turned the class into a community. Athletes reminded each other to warm up, discussed their own experiences, and shared ways to stay motivated and safe.
This open exchange built trust, empathy, and teamwork—the foundation of a healthy sports culture.

Through these activities✨, we hope every athlete learns that safety and growth are shared responsibilities. By helping, teaching, and learning from one another, we can create a sports environment where every teammate feels supported, every voice is heard, and everyone grows stronger—together👍.
